What the Gut Twin website collects, why, and what you can do about it. The app has its own notice.

Who we are
Gut Twin is made by Bliss Labs OÜ. We decide what happens to the data described here. For any privacy question, or to use any of your rights below, email info@blisslabs.dev.
When you visit the site
- We measure how the site is used with PostHog, in its cookieless mode: it sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It records the pages you view, what you click, the site you came from, your browser and device type, and your approximate location. To count unique visitors, PostHog makes an anonymous code from your visit on its servers, and that code changes every day. The data goes through our own address, t.biomebliss.app, to PostHog's servers in the EU.
- Our host, Netlify, keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and the page requested) to run and protect the site.
- Fonts load from Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google's servers for them and Google sees your IP address.
The FODMAP checker
The checker runs in your browser. The foods you look up or put on a plate are not sent to us.
Becoming a beta tester
The beta form is run by Tally. It asks for your first name, your email and which phone you'll use, and optionally your age, the wearables you use and whether we may interview you. It also records which button you used and the page you were on. After you sign up, you can answer a separate one-question poll about the app's name. The poll doesn't ask for your name or email.
We use this to pick testers, invite you, contact you about the beta and, if you said yes, ask you for an interview. We rely on your consent, which you give by sending the form. We keep it until the beta ends and then delete it, unless you're still testing with us. You can ask us to remove you at any time.
Sharing a gut story
The story form is also run by Tally. It asks for your story, a name to show (optional) and topic tags, plus two boxes: consent to publish and that you're 18 or older. We don't ask for your email.
A story about your gut is health data, so we only take it with the explicit consent you give by ticking the box. We read every story. We either publish it on the story board, sometimes shortened or with typos fixed, or delete it. Unpublished stories are deleted from Tally when we decide. Published stories are stored by Netlify and shown with the name you chose, or as Anonymous.
To have your story taken down, email info@blisslabs.dev and tell us which one it is (the name you used and a line from it is enough, since we have no other way to know it's yours). We remove it from the board straight away.
Who else handles your data
- Tally (Belgium) runs our forms.
- Netlify hosts the site and stores published stories.
- PostHog (servers in the EU) provides our analytics.
- Google Fonts serves the fonts.
We never sell your data or use it for advertising, and we don't share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it or take a copy, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing doesn't affect what happened before. Email info@blisslabs.dev. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
